Travel Note
We recommend flying into Munich and taking the affordable high-speed train to Salzburg. You can either stay in Salzburg for a bit or take the short local Bus 150 directly to St. Gilgen and settle in there. If you’d like to explore beyond Austria, Northern Italy, Switzerland, and Slovenia are easily accessible by train. If you need itinerary tips or recommendations, feel free to reach out to Tien she has lots of European travel experience! The cheapest flights from Dallas are often to Portugal, but this would require a budget airline connection to reach Austria. It’s an option if you’re interested. We encourage guests to extend their stay to explore more of Austria or nearby countries. With budget-friendly flights and easy train access across Europe, it’s a great chance to turn your trip into a memorable adventure. For the smoothest experience, we recommend arriving in Salzburg at least a day before the wedding. From Salzburg, just hop on Bus 150 to reach St. Gilgen. Safe travels!
