Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP)

NYC has tons of airports but Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP), located in Islip is definitely the closest to Greenport.

Train

Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)

This is a great transportation option for those traveling from the city or arriving without a car from any of the NYC or LI airports. If you fly into Newark, you will have to take the NJ Transit to New York Penn Station and switch over to the LIRR from there. Trains to Greenport leave from Penn Station (in NYC) or Jamaica Station (via the AirTrain from JFK airport) and take a little under 3 hours. Please note you will have to transfer at Ronkonkoma and these trains don't run frequently so be sure to check the LIRR schedule linked below and bring along a 6 pack for your ride! Tickets can be purchased on the MTA eTix app or at the station.

Hampton Jitney

The Hampton Jitney bus is another way to get to Greenport that might better cater to your schedule if you're traveling from the city or arriving without a car from any of the NYC airports. The bus leaves from NYC or Fresh Meadows Queens (about a ~20 minute Uber from JFK airport). Tickets should be purchased ahead of time on the Hampton Jitney website linked below. If you purchase your ticket on board, you will have to pay a higher fee and there is a chance the bus will be full.

For those looking to splurge, the wedding venue itself offers rooms on the water that can't be beaten. This is also where the couple will be staying.

Silver Sands Motel

Close to the wedding venue and welcome party is a smaller motel option with cheaper rates and rooms that accommodate 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Rooms are booking up quickly and are refundable so it's worth acting fast on this one. Please let Adam or Danielle know if you're staying here and would like a shuttle to pick you up and drop you off on the day of the wedding.

Other hotels and Airbnb

There are many other quaint hotels, bed and breakfasts, and even campgrounds in the area worth checking out. Some others in Greenport include: The Lin Beach House, Harbor Knoll Bed & Breakfast, Townsend Manor Inn, The Farmhouse, Tapestry House, The Stirling House, etc. Airbnb's are of course always an option as well and could be fun for large groups—just let Adam or Danielle know the address or hotel where you will be staying if you'd like a shuttle to pick you up and drop you off on the day of the wedding. In addition to Greenport, Southold, Cutchogue, Mattituck, and Jamesport are all good options nearby.

Red Carpet Coach & Limousine

June 11, 2022 4:00 pm - 2:00 am

A shuttle will be running from Shorewood Inn and Cliffside Resort Condominiums on the day of the wedding from 4pm-2am, picking up from the entrance of Shorewood at 4:05pm and the entrance of Cliffside at 4:45pm. It will then make one more trip to Cliffside to get everyone to the venue by 5pm. If you would like pickup and dropoff service from a separate hotel or location please let Adam or Danielle know the address prior to the day of the wedding. On the day of the wedding if you should run into any transportation emergencies please call Red Carpet Coach & Limousine at 631-828-8464.

Uber and Cab Information

During the day, Ubers are available but can be scarce. We recommend calling an Uber at least 15-20 minutes before you're actually ready to leave. The following cab companies are available 24/7 but to avoid long wait times, we recommend calling to schedule your rides a few hours in advance when possible.
