Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentleman should wear a suit and tie or sports coat.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Well, it is the Midwest and the weather is always quite unpredictable but... the average weather temperature in February is 20-40 degrees.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be at Venue Chisca 1009 SW Washington St Peoria,IL 61602

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be indoors in the same room of the venue.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can enjoy a cocktail, try some snacks at the sweets and pickle bar, and then have some fun at the photo booth!

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Unfortunately at this time there are no other wedding events scheduled.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, so arrive at 1 pm, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There are two parking lots for the venue, one right on the side of the building near the entrance to the wedding, and one directly across the street from the building as well. Also all street parking is free and can be used without limitation.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

ABSOLUTLEY! As much as I hate to say it... they are just as much the life of the party as the Bride & Groom, so we can't wait to see them all dolled up and ready to party.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only so we will only be able to accommodate who was listed on your invitation. So if you were provided a +1 option, then you may bring a date. If you have a special request please contact the Bride at 815.822.2159

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes, at the Embassy Suits by Hilton. Check out the travel page of our website!

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, there is wheelchair access into the building and throughout the whole building.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food? Drinks?

Answer

There will be buffet style dinner provided during the reception. There is a full bar on site, but shots will not be served. Draft beer, wine and soda will be provided with no cost, everything else will be priced through the venue.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Where are you registered?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. If it is your wish to bless us with a gift, we would greatly appreciate a contribution to our wishing well! Check out the registration page of our site for the links. We look forward to celebrating our wedding day with you!

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

No, please do not. All the centerpieces belong to the Bride, Groom and family members!

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #youremycupoftieman so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Will masks be required?

Answer

At this time masks will not be required but it is up to your own personal preference if you would like to wear one or not! We will let everyone know if this changes before the date.
