Flight
Flying into St. John's is the best option if you're planning to fly in simply for the wedding weekend. In 12-15 minutes you can travel from the airport to recommended hotels downtown and the wedding venue. If you plan to extend your stay, you have the option to fly into or out of Gander International Airport (3.5 hour drive from St. John's) or Deer Lake Airport (7 hour drive from St. John's) - it all depends on your itinerary!
Hotel
This hotel is new with a great location - on the harbour front and less than a 10 minute walk to the wedding venue! The rooms are cozy and efficient (think automated bedside buttons to turn on "do not disturb" alerts and black out blinds). The coffee and food downstairs (at Terre) is amazing and the whole ambiance makes you feel like you're aboard a ship.
Hotel
This hotel is owned by my dad's long-time pal who had a dream to bring a rock-and-roll inspired hotel to life. Rock music and memorabilia will greet you at this hotel, which is is less than a 10 minute walk to the wedding venue. I've stayed at the Jag more times than I can count and I can always rely on good service, spacious rooms for socializing with friends and a big, comfy bed.
House Or Rental
For those traveling in a group or planning an extended stay an Airbnb is a great option. There are a few charming Airbnb rentals in downtown St. John's and near Signal Hill Road.
Rental Car
Jiffy cabs is the most commonly used cab company in St. John's - there's usually 1 man on the other end of the line and he only gives 2 word replies. You may not understand him, just know that they will be on their way, right away.
