under the Bahamian sun. The long, humid Bahamian days working to rebuild the Every Child Counts school after Hurricane Dorian led us to weekend adventures where we discovered each other’s committment to an abundance of love and joy. During a Sunday morning round table breakfast surrounded by other lovely humans, we each shared where we’d like to be in the future. Andrew revealed his desire to be apart of a community filled with compassion and tiny homes, self reliance and unity, and a bunch of other stuff that I didn’t hear because whatever it was, I just knew we could build it together.
we've traveled more, began to design our future, finished building our tiny home, hiked hard, and loved harder.
to the day since that round table conversation, we are committing to each other and our shared dream of growing with human nature. Back on the island where it all started (not to be confused with the islands either of us grew up on) we've invited everyone who has joined our journey as individuals or as a unit to celebrate what it means to be human!
With most countries, waste is a continuous battle. Whether you choose to join us in the Bahamas or at the Washington reception, please be aware of single use plastics or local recycling opportunities. Many people work hard to preserve and share natural beauty in our world, help us honor their efforts. Bring your reusable water bottles, use paper products, wear sustainable sunscreen, hang dry clothes, or fill a trash bag with debris and mālama ka ‘āina (care and protect our lands)
