We highly recommend taking a scenic drive through the stunning Spearfish Canyon! It will be beautiful in the spring. If you like fly fishing, hiking, or even just viewing waterfalls as much as we do, there are some great spots in the canyon for all of that! Don't forget to bring your fly rod!
If you plan to go see Mount Rushmore, while you're in the area we definitely recommend stopping in Keystone, SD. It is such a wonderful old gold mine town with a great downtown to explore and a great adventure park for kids!
Truly our favorite little town! There is a fish hatchery right by Spearfish Park that might be fun for kids. There is a great downtown with shops and restaurants to explore. If you like nature, be sure to check out Spearfish Canyon!
Custer State Park is great for viewing wildlife and scenic nature, but the true reason for our Custer recommendation is the Purple Pie Place in Custer. If you like pie and/or ice cream you will love it! You're missing out if you don't try it!
Yellowstone is a ways away from Beulah, however if this is likely the only time you will make it to Wyoming, we definitely recommend including Yellowstone into your trip! Might as well make a trip out of it right?!
