We will miss you! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate that you are declining on our RSVP tab. If you happened to RSVP'd but things have changed, please let us know so that we can plan accordingly.
YES! Don't worry if you can't make it to our wedding in Vietnam. We understand that not everyone is able to go, but we would love to celebrate with y'all back at home! We're currently planning a couples shower for 2027 sometime before the wedding, and will get in contact once we have a date planned.
(MUST HAVES) - Your passport - Vietnam visa ($25) which you can apply for online at: https://evisa.gov.vn/ - Digital arrival card which you can apply for online at: https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn/ (RECOMMENDED) We also advise for you to pay for a Vietnamese Fast-Track Immigration service where you can apply for online as well. This allows for you to skip the long wait once you land, which could be a 1+ hour wait without air conditioning. I've forgotten to purchase the fast-track service before and was stuck standing in line for about 2 hours, and had to use my neck fan and handheld fan. We landed during the day time while it was still hot out. This could be different if you are landing at night time.
You would want to fly into Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) in Ho Chi Minh City. We recommend arranging transportation through your hotel or ride service such as Grab (Asia's version of Uber and Lyft).
It is totally up to you if you want to stay at the resort during the time of the wedding, but I recommend staying in district 1, 2, or 3 for longer stays before or after the wedding. District 1 - Most central area with restaurants, shopping, and attractions. District 2 - Quieter neighborhood with cafes and boutique hotels/ Good if you prefer a more relaxed stay. District 3 - Close to District 1 but less busy. A good balance of convenience and quieter surroundings.
Yes! We recommend getting an eSIM or international plan before you arrive so you have service as soon as you land. Alternatively, if your phone allows, you can buy a local physical SIM card once you arrive.
Vietnam in July is HOT and TROPICAL, so lightweight, breathable clothing is best. Pack handheld and portable fans. Also, don't forget to bring your wedding attire!
Come looking good, we’re in Asia, baby!
Cash is king in Vietnam! Most places only accept Vietnamese Dong, and very few places take credit cards. Only big malls and higher end restaurants will accept credit cards. If you do use a card, make sure it has NO FOREIGN TRANSACTION FEES. You can bring up to $5,000 USD per person, without having to declare at customs. Exchange money at airports, banks, or licensed exchange counters once you arrive. Another option is to exchange your money at gold jewelry shops.
Helpful apps include Grab (ride-hailing, which requires WhatsApp for account setup), Messenger or WhatsApp (great for making appointments at beauty shops or restaurant reservations), and Google Translate or Papago for translation.
