We’re getting married!!!

One day after school Keiwon and some mutual friends came to my house. We hung out and kicked it until dark. The next day after school a mutual friend told me that Keiwon was interested and wanted to go with me. From that day forward the rest was history. I know it sounds elementary but that is exactly what it was. This young love started, at age 13, the beginning of our 8th grade year at Roosevelt Junior High School.

It was Keiwon’s 30th birthday and I wanted to go all out for him. During this time the world was experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic, which made it hard to travel. So I planned this nice birthday celebration right here in our own city. It started with a private helicopter ride around the downtown Chicagoland area. After, we went to III Forks, a fine steakhouse restaurant, located downtown Chicago Illinois. We had rooftop reservations, but it decided to try to rain on our parade, so we had to have dinner indoors. We talked, laughed, and took a few shots of Patron to help get the night started. The waitress came with a cake and some candles. Which would not be out of the ordinary because we’re celebrating his Big 30th Birthday. Until she set the cake down and he got up. The cake read Congratulations, so I’m like huh. Then it happened y’all! He got on one knee and asked “Will you marry me!” Of course I said “Yes” to marrying my Best Friend! Here I am planning this special birthday celebration for him and the whole time he’s trying to surprise me with the biggest surprise. So yea it’s like I planned my own proposal and didn’t even know it. I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal. Glad he shared his special day with me. Now it’s a Couple of Forever! 10❤️03❤️2021
