Dante and I initially started talking through Facebook when he messaged me in May of 2007. Dante was new to Virgina Union University and requested to be my friend on FB after seeing I attended the university. We talked briefly through social media but I didn’t take him seriously lol. Fast forward to Fall Semester 2007 and who’s in my English class with Ms. Rhodes... Dante (lol). I have always been shy so of course I act like I didn’t see him walk in the class but of course Dante walked right up to me in front of my friends and says hey I’m not sure if you remember me but we talked briefly on Facebook. I was shocked and said no and walked away which my friends would always tease me about this situation and told me I owed him an apology. During our winter break I wrote him to apologize and we talked all through break and once we got back to school for the spring semester. We became inseparable and best friends at this point we told each other everything. After dating and getting to know each other he officially asked me to be his girlfriend and we’ve been together ever since! It’s amazing to see how we both have mature and grown since college. We can’t wait to celebrate with family and friends on our big day!

Dante told me we were going to dinner with my best friend Ashley and her husband Scott who we hadn’t hung out with in awhile due to our busy schedules. I was so excited for our dinner date because we always have good time but I had no idea just how memorable this night would be. Dante planned the dinner at one of my favorite restaurants and met with the manager for a week straight to make sure every detail was perfect. So we get to the restaurant we’re talking, order our food and just having a good time. When our food came out Dante asked me how his food looked and his plate read will you marry me and next thing I know he’s down one knee and the whole restaurant is clapping. I was in complete shock and couldn’t believe my best friend was asking me to marry him. Of course I SAID YES!!!! It was perfect!
