Our story began at a trivia night hosted by a Meet Up group at Fat Kat Slim’s in Nashville. We were both there to make new connections, not expecting to meet each other — but fate had other plans. From the start, we hit it off with easy conversation and surprising similarities: we were both from the Midwest, both working in the medical field, and both big sports fans. But it was the second time we met — two weeks later — when sparks really flew. There was charm, flirting, and undeniable chemistry. Tia left that night feeling butterflies and a strong nudge to reach out… but also a little nervous. So she did what any girl might do in that moment: she prayed. She asked God that if Marcel was the one, have him make the next move. And within minutes, Marcel messaged her. From there, things unfolded naturally — lots of group hangs, messages that turned into long conversations, and a growing connection. Our first “official” date was… well, memorable for the wrong reasons. Let’s just say it wasn’t love at first date — and Tia left convinced she’d never hear from Marcel again. But to her surprise, that evening, he texted her, and it opened the door for a second chance — one we’re both so glad we took. Our love story is about more than just the two of us—it’s about the journey that brought us together as a family. Marcel brought his incredible son, Peyton, into our lives from a previous marriage. From the very beginning, his kind heart, bright spirit, and charming personality have been a central part of our relationship. God blessed us to grow our family even more by placing Carter with us. Becoming his parents has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives, and he's filled our home with joy, curiosity, and endless giggles. Blending our lives has taken patience, love, and a lot of teamwork—but it has made us stronger, closer, and more grateful every day. Our wedding day is not just about our union as a couple—it’s the celebration of all four of us, officially becoming one family. We can't wait to share this moment with the people who’ve supported and loved us through it all.
