An excellent question, and one for which we can easily provide answers! There are several local breweries that we love, including: Trinity Brewery (on Garden of the Gods Road - so pair that with a hike in the park!); Rocky Mountain Brewery; Nano 108; Fieldhouse East; Peaks and Pines (which is very close to where we live!); Red Leg Brewery (veteran owned); and Metric (created by UCCS graduates!). A Colorado staple, Oskar Blues, is downtown with a great food menu.
Another excellent question! Some of our favorite places to eat are: Fuzzy's tacos; Pizzeria Rustica; Jake and Telly's (Mediterranean!); Front Range Barbecue; Which Wich (fast casual sandwiches); and Pig Latin (fun Mexican food).
Vinum Populi is a trendy wine bar on the East side that we like, and we actually went there for Valentine's Day when we were engaged! We also like a place called Hops N Drops on the East side. It's a chain, but has great food and has quite the list of beer on tap (served at 32 degrees every time) and cocktails served in ice glasses!
We live on the East side off of the Powers corridor. Tia works at UCCS, which is about a 20 minute drive. Our church, Discovery, is on the way. We spend most of our time east of I25, but we have a lot of suggestions and tips to explore our city!
We may be biased, but we suggest you check out Discovery Community Church, located at 4304 Austin Bluffs Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80918. They have a Saturday night service at 5, and Sunday morning services at 9 and 11 am.
So many things! We enjoy getting outside as often as we can, so we take as many walks or hikes as possible. We've provided some of our favorite places to hike on the "Things to Do" tab, so check that out! Given our Colorado sunshine, it's possible to get outdoors even in winter! We also enjoy taking a board game with us to a local brewery and playing some games while we try new beers. You can see our list of favorite breweries above.
Easy answer - EVERYTHING! Colorado has a relatively mild climate, but since our wedding will be in December, there's always a chance for snow. It could also be 65 degrees and sunny! Bring lots of layers and winter clothes as well, just in case. We have to adapt every day here in this lovely state!
