Our wedding ceremony will be formal.

Where should I sit during the ceremony?

Please let Ashley’s mom Linda, her boyfriend Mike, Josh’s mom Susan and our nephew Dade sit on the front row. Other than that please sit wherever you like. Don’t worry about sides 🙂

Is alcohol allowed at the wedding venue?
Answer
No! They are very clear and strict about this rule.

Will the ceremony take place indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony will take place outdoors at the Chapel in the Sky rain or shine. Please use the clear umbrellas provided by the venue, if it’s raining.

What can I expect from the ceremony?
Answer
Our ceremony theme is “simple yet beautiful” and will be focused more on the bride and groom.

What time will the ceremony start?
Answer
The ceremony will start at 6:00 pm sharp. Please plan to be seated no later than 5:30 pm. We’re having an elopement and we have the venue from 4:00-7:00 pm.

Will there be transportation to the ceremony site?
Answer
Yes. Please park and the venue staff will drive you to the ceremony site, if you’d rather not walk.

How far is the reception restaurant from the venue?
Answer
Right at an hour. We realize that’s not super ideal but being off the grid is just one of Nantahala’s many charms.

If you decide to spend the night in Cherokee we’d love to meet you for breakfast/brunch at Selu Garden Cafe inside Harrah’s Resort after checkout, at about 11:15 am. Please text Ashley by October 1st if you’d like to join us!
