WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!

We met at a party in Radford. He came up to me & we started chatting while I was waiting for my ride home. Before I left he asked for my number & I gave it to him (little did I know it was the wrong number)! The next day we ran into each other at a day drink & chatted again. I remember thinking he was cute & how funny it was that we saw each other two days in a row. About a week later I needed a date to our sorority formal. Our mutual friend Emma suggested I go with someone in her fraternity & she showed me a picture of Paul. I told her the story of our run-ins & decided to ask him! The night of the party there was about a foot of snow & ice on the ground, he carried me on his back so I wouldn’t slip in my heels. Although the night didn’t go as planned, he was a total gentleman & I was smitten. After that night we have been together ever since!

We went to a coffee shop in the historic district of downtown Norfolk for a date. Afterwards he asked me if I wanted to walk around the area to check it out. We walked two streets over down a cobblestone street that overlooked the marina at the end. The sky was gorgeous because the sun was setting & I turn around and he is on one knee. We both cried. He asked me to marry him & I shook my head yes (too busy crying). We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in Culpeper, VA
