My sweet Sissy Woos!! She is supportive, caring, funny, wise, and has my back no matter what. What else could you want from your Matron of Honor? Naturally, she was the best lady for the job! Laura has a huge heart and is the most patient and selfless person I know. I look up to my sister in so many ways and feel beyond lucky we share such a close bond. We are different in many ways, but we connect on all the things that really matter in life.

He might be the older twin by 90 seconds but I will take the Height/Looks/Sense of Humor anyday! But in all seriousness Chris has been my best friend since birth and whether it was the first day of Pre-School or Competing for the best time in our ring dunks, he has always been by my side supporting me. People might see us and think we act like an old married couple….but the truth is we had lived together for 30 years experiencing our youth/teenage years/college years/post-college years together…..so they might not be too far off! But with all that has come a never-ending list of great stories and life experiences! and I could not be happier to have him by my side on my most special day to date!

Our friendship started in high school, and for almost 20 years, we have grown and matured together, been there for each other through all the highs and lows of life, and have learned over time how lucky we are to have one another. She is my best friend, role model, ride or die, vacation partner, secret keeper, advice giver, confidence builder, and the mother of my god-children. Nicole has been one of the most important and influential people in my life, and I think the world of her. I am beyond blessed to call her my best friend and I don’t know where I would be in life without her!

I always thought it was harsh that Matt took so much pleasure in beating me in every single one on one Basketball game we ever played….until his knees gave in 😊 But it was later in life I learned just how much his competitive spirit and wisdom has shaped my life and made me into the person I am today. While our one on one games are behind us, I still have many lessons to learn from him as he has grown into an amazing father and husband.

Soon she will be my sister, but until then I am honored to have her on my side of the aisle as my bridesmaid. Meredith is a breath of fresh air and makes you feel good just being around her. She is a listener and a teacher. She is accepting and comforting. I am excited to be gaining such a sweet and strong sister in law.

When Chris and I were looking for a third roommate primarily to help us split the bill of living in the luxurious inner loop area of Houston….we unanimously decided on David….or maybe it was us that we were fortunate enough for David to ask us to live with him….either way the story is written, the time spent those three years after graduation were some of my most cherished memories as we were navigating life in the “real world” while still trying to hold on to some college glory. Now in our thirties our time spent together might look a little different but is none the less special!

Our paths could have crossed so many times before they did- Both CLHS grads, LSU grads, and Theta alumni – but we didn’t actually meet until we began teaching together 8 years ago. If I had a dollar for every hour we spent talking on the phone while sitting in traffic, or every “happy” hour together, or every problem we solved together, I would be rich. Melissa is my sunshine, my support, my sidekick, and is so special to me. We connect on so many levels and every time we are together, no matter how much or how long, we always leave saying it wasn’t enough!!

I had never met anyone that complained as much as I do…. until I met Austin, and from then on, I knew a special friendship was forming. In the 7 years since he moved to Houston my life has changed for the better with his friendship. From constant roasting to keep each other humble, to a trip to Portland for my 30th birthday even though I bailed on his, and a visit to Arrowhead Stadium for my Texans to beat-down his Chiefs….the fact our friendship has only gotten stronger from all this is a really special testament.

Rebecca started out as a “work friend” and has become one of my best friends. I clicked with Rebecca as soon as I met her and instantly knew I wanted to be friends with her!! She just gets me, and I get her. She is loyal, thoughtful, reliable, and hilarious. There is an ease and comfort being around Rebecca. I can talk to her about anything and found myself walk-running down to her classroom most mornings before school to talk… about life, work, or dates with Travis! I can always count on her to listen and understand me and I am so lucky to always have her support.

I never knew Corsicana existed till I had the pleasure of meeting at a rush event who would soon become one my Closest Friends and Fraternity Brothers Layton Miller. I really found something special in this tall/lengthy fellow from Corsicana who to this day holds the best Halloween costume award for his praying mantis outfit when we were pledges. I always joked with Layton that he had “selective hearing” but that cant be right because he’s always been there for me even when I ran out of gas on the side of I-45 at rush hour….now that is a True Friend.

What Britney may lack in size, she makes up for in personality. She loves big, hugs big, and laughs big. She is playful and silly and wants everyone around her to relax and have a good time. We all need a Britney in our lives! A protective Mama Bear who you can always count on, is there for you when you need them, lifts you up when you’re down, and has a huge heart.

Michael and I formed a unique bond in College over our love for music and quality TV shows prior to the Netflix new show a week craze. When we had to live in the fraternity house for a year, he was my roommate through that crazy/fun/interesting year will never forget. We have seen more concerts together than I can count and still talk about which shows are worth our time and with his moves I have been able to visit the Great City of New York multiple times and look forward to future visits on the West Coast now!
