How We Met

August 2012

Long story short... it was a cold winter's day.... The wind was a'blowin' and the snow was a'fallin'.... Long story short... Oh wait, that's a story for another time.... The tale of Chloe and Eric is a tale as old as time. Fate kept twisting their paths until they just knew they were made for each other. The first of three such instances was when Chloe attended that high school bonfire that Eric threw on the family farm. He and his goonies cut down and sacrificed that beautiful, old pine tree just so small town teenagers could throw empty beer cans onto its burning embers. They laughed maliciously as one of their own got stuck 20' off the ground on a homemade (not OSHA approved) zipline. It was a party that lives on in infamy to this day. The second and perhaps most memorable introduction was when Chloe and her sister Gillian were thrown over a 6' fence by a very large football player at Sasquatch music festival. Their tickets had been accidentally locked in the car by a friend, so they had no way of getting into the festival besides sneaking their way through a guarded vineyard, scrambling their way through the Eastern Washington desert, and finding themselves on the edge of the Columbia River Gorge. After what seemed like an eternity out there with no water and no shade they found their way to the fence that was backed by smelly honey buckets and Chloe's husband to be. Yes, there was Eric Mower waiting to catch the Thornton sisters and gracefully allow them into the festival grounds, salvaging what could have been a very disappointing day. The third and final meeting of these two happened a few years later at the Great Northern Brewery in Whitefish. Eric had just watched a Keller Williams concert at the park and when Chloe asked, "How was Keller?" he thought she had asked, "How is color?". He wasn't quite sure what to make of this little, hippie spitfire, but stuck around anyways. They then danced the night away at the Craggy Range, and the rest is history.

For all the days along the way
