We met at our first jobs in the U.S., working at a restaurant called "Vietnam." I had been there for a while when Minh Tran introduced him, and he started working there too. Honestly, my first impression of him wasn’t much—he was super tan and so skinny (LOL). Back then, I was helping out in the kitchen, and I decided to make him some fried rice for lunch. Turns out, that little gesture left quite an impression on him. Just three days later, he started flirting with me and asked me out on a date. I was nursing a broken heart back then, so I thought, "Why not? YOLO. Let’s give it a shot!" And that’s how it all began. 😊

At that moment, we had been together for six years. Honestly, no one was pressuring us to get married, and I wasn’t in a hurry to have a wedding either. It was just that I had reached a point where I liked the idea of commitment, so I challenged him to give me a ring. Who would have thought he’d actually do it? ^^ It happened during our trip to EDC Vegas. He gave the ring to my best friend to bring to Vegas, so I had no clue or suspicion at all. On the first night, while everyone was still excited and having fun, out of nowhere, Thi suddenly hugged me tightly and held me for a moment. I just thought she was overwhelmed with joy and affection, so I didn’t think much of it. Then, when I turned around, I saw him down on one knee, holding a ring in his hand. All my friends turned on their phone flashlights, shining brightly on us. I was completely surprised—shocked, even—haha. Then he asked me something… I couldn’t hear clearly, but I still answered, "Yes." I accidentally gave him my left hand, and in the excitement, I switched to my right hand, and the ring was slipped on.
