We met while working on the same floor at Froedtert Hospital. I was an RN and he was just finishing up his BSN while working as a CNA. Brett claims that I started assigning him to my patients, I think he started sitting by me and asking me for more help than usual. As fate would have it, we ran into each other at the same bar on NYE 2018... but our story doesn't end there. The clock struck midnight, and I turn to Brett who decides to give me a high five rather than a kiss. With the help of friends, we finally started meeting up for drinks, which turned into dates until he asked me to be his girlfriend. Fast forward 2.5 years and probably too much pestering from me, Brett finally asked me to marry him on 10/24 with friends nearby and family waiting at our apartment to celebrate!
