In the Summer of 2015 we awkwardly stared each other down while I drove past him in a car with mutual friends. A few days later Brent slide into my DMs and the rest is history. . . Well not quite, after a few weeks of leaving each other on read we decided to meet up for an ice cream date at the dock. I was of course late, but he waited for me. I was nervously texting him asking him if I should shake his hand upon this first meet up. That night we broke some random rule I had about not reaching out until at least 3 business day later and from there we connected.

Pre Global Pandemic post deployment Brent convinced me to attend what I thought was his birthday celebration at Peak n Peek Ski resort. Surrounded by family, friends and drinks he began singing, I assumed Karaoke had begun. Then he was on one knee asking me to marry him. I ugly cried and said "YESSSS"! The wait is over, we are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you! See you back home on the Lake where it all began!
