Our wedding is taking place on one of the piers, right along the boardwalk of the Wharf restaurants and bars. If you know/locate the Anthem music venue, this is the pier that juts off right across from there. You should see our tent set up! Just walk past it to the other side and we will take it from there!
We love the idea of tuxes and gowns, but these are definitely not required. Feel free to funk it up a bit. If you want to incorporate glitter into your outfit, we have no problem with that. Think "Met Gala" meets your "average black tie wedding" :). Please also note that it can get very windy on the pier. As we get closer to the wedding day, we will keep an eye on weather, but you may want to bring a light shawl or jacket should it be a chilly night.
We will be on a traditional pier, so you will be standing on wood planking/boardwalk-style boards. Please be mindful of this when you are choosing shoes. We advise against stilettos and skinny heels!
Obviously, we are keeping a close watch on the latest developments of Covid-19. As of now, since the venue will be mostly outdoors, we are not requiring masks. We do ask, however, that you are fully vaccinated to attend the celebration.
WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL GUESTS TO UBER TO THE EVENT -- TRUST US, YOU'LL BE HAPPIER THAT WAY! Parking at the Wharf is kind of a pain in the behind. There are several parking garages available on site, but they get full fast, and they are expensive. There is very limited street parking as well. If you plan to drive, please allow extra time before the ceremony to find parking. If you mobility issues, please let us know, and we can make arrangements for you.
We are so grateful to our family for all their help and support in making this wedding a reality. Thank you so much John and Lisa Thompson (Jamie's parents), Linda Baumann (Greg's mom), and Bob and Sue Faron (Greg's Late Father and Step Mom)!
