Jake and Natalie had gone to Lifted Trucks Nationals for the fifth year in a row. It was kind of a tradition at this point. Natalie and Jake had traveled separately since Natalie and their friend Brittany wanted to spend some time in St. Louis before going to the event. Once they got to Branson, Jake was talking with Brittany to make sure that Natalie would get her nails done. During the show Jake had to find a way to get the ring to his truck without Natalie noticing. Brittany ended up distracting Natalie and taking her back to the cabin. Jake decided to put the ring in the harness of a German Shepard named Nova and managed to get it to his truck for the big event, despite Natalie constantly wanting to pet Nova. Jake talked with a vendor who they had gotten to know during the many visits down there and orchestrated a giveaway to get Natalie by his "Back the Blue'' truck. The time had finally come for the giveaway! There were way more people standing up there than anyone could imagine. There were more vendors that had brought things to throw out to the crowd as well. Andrew, one of Natalie's friends from High School who came down with them, had told Natalie if he catches a bag that he would give it to her. Well he actually did it! Jake then asked what came in the bag. Natalie walked and turned around to let Jake see as she was wearing the bag. This gave Jake the perfect opportunity, as he was pulling things out of the bag he whispered in Natalie’s ear "you know I love you right?" and spins her around only to find him on one knee holding a ring. This is all happening while their song "Die a Happy Man" by Thomas Rhett is playing in the background. Long story short she said YES!!!
