This Game's for Jack! (Mets/Cubs Baseball Game)

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Wrigley Field
1060 West Addison Street, Chicago, IL 60613

Our three favorite places in the Chicagoland area are the Chicago lakefront, the Thompson backyard (Sunday dinners with Michelle's mom are amazing), and Wrigley Field! So we couldn't think of a better way to kick off our wedding week than with a ballgame. Whether you're a fan of the Mets, Cubs, or Sox, you can't beat a day at Wrigley. Michelle's dad was a diehard Brooklyn Dodgers and Mets fan, so we know he would have enjoyed this. We have our eye on a block of seats on the field level, first base line (Section 32, rows 11-14) that we can keep adding to depending on interest. Please let us know ASAP if you'd like to join us and the number of tickets. Tickets are $160 per seat. Please drop Tom an email: tbunger@gmail.com ......Let's Go Mets!

Rehearsal

10:45 am - 11:45 am

Please join us if you're part of the "I Do Crew." We know it's early, we don't want you to hate us or Chicago....so we're trying to schedule as much as we can around traffic. Plenty of parking in church lot.

Welcome & Rehearsal Party

12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to jeans and tees.

Arriving out of town guests and the "I Do Crew" please come join us on the front porch immediately following the church rehearsal. Oak Park is a beautiful historic town and the Pleasant Home is located just a few blocks from the train, so anyone who prefers to take the Metra to/from the city (goes into Ogilvie Station) or to/from Glen Ellyn, will find it very convenient. Trains run hourly, please check www.metrarail.com for the Union Pacific West schedule. Plenty of street parking for anyone driving. Tom moved to Chicago from Bend, OR, where they have the BEST gourmet food trucks. So in that spirit we found one here to help us welcome everyone. We can't wait to see you!

Ceremony...we're getting MARRIED!!

1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Suits and ties for the guys. The church has a modesty code for us girls, which means if wearing a strapless dress, they ask that you please bring a shawl or wrap just to cover your back and shoulders for the church.

Complimentary parking available at the church.

Our Reception

6:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Ladies beware, the grass can be a bit soft at the Botanic Gardens so you may want to rethink the stilettos!

Complimentary parking for all wedding guests. Please let the gate attendant know you're there to celebrate with the Thompson-Bunger wedding! Feel free to arrive as early as you'd like to explore all the beautiful gardens. Accessible parking is located in parking lots 1 and 2. Upon entering the Visitor Center please follow the signs directing you through the gardens to our reception. Both the cocktail hour and dinner will be outdoors. (We can promise plenty of cold cocktails even if we can't promise a cool summer night!) The walk from the Visitor Center to the reception area is a bit of a hike. Complimentary wheelchairs are available at the Information Desk in the Visitor Center. Electric scooters are also available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Per the Gardens, guests routinely leave their cars behind after receptions. Please feel free to leave your car overnight if you decide to have some celebratory drinks with us and hop the shuttle to the Marriott Resort.

Farewell BBQ on the Lake

7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to jeans and tees.

Guests who will still be in town but would like to get out of the city please join us! Please call 1-800-709-1323 and ask for the Thompson-Bunger Wedding Room Block (Group Code 11E23K). No min stay required under our block, free cancellation before 72 hours of check-in. If you want to stay 1 night they will waive the 2 night min stay. Please click the Travel tab for more information. We're excited to spend a few days here for some relaxing post-wedding fun. We love Lake Geneva and this resort is right on the harbor, reminding Tom of Gig Harbor, a special place to his family. The hotel has amenities for families (mini movie theater, game room, campfires, spa, etc.) and free shuttle service to the town of Lake Geneva. There are plenty of other hotels in the area as well. The drive from Lincolnshire is 50 miles, just across the Illinois/Wisconsin Border. The drive time depends on local traffic, but is 1 to 1.5 hours from Lincolnshire. (2 lane local road is slow part)

For all the days along the way
