Where is the wedding located?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will take place at two separate locations, which are about a 20-minute drive apart. The wedding service will be at St. Mark Orthodox Church (7124 River Rd, Bethesda, MD 20817). The cocktail hour and reception will be held at The Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens (9750 Meadowlark Gardens Ct, Vienna, VA 22182).

What time is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will start at 2:30pm. Cocktail hour will start at 4:15pm, and will run straight into a dinner reception.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

While the ceremony begins promptly at 2:30pm, we encourage guests to arrive 15 minutes early. Please plan for some traffic delays, as local travel will be affected by snow from the recent winter storm.

What is the attire?

Answer

The attire is semi-formal/cocktail. Suits and cocktail dresses are encouraged.

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes, free parking is available at both the church and the reception venue. Convenient parking is located close to each entrance, with minimal walking required.

Is the wedding indoors?

Answer

Yes, both the ceremony and reception are indoors. However, the local area is expecting cold temperatures with snow remaining from the recent winter storm. Please plan accordingly - for both your dress and travel!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask guests to refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. However, photos and videos are encouraged throughout cocktail hour and the reception.

The wedding ceremony is approximately 45 minutes long.

Is the ceremony seated?

Answer

We invite all guests to remain standing for the duration of the service. However, seating is available and we warmly encourage elderly guests or anyone who needs to do so to take a seat at any time.
