After trying online dating for a while, I decided to give it one more try before taking a break. When I came across Charles' dating profile, he sparked my interest, so I sent him a smiley face. I was happy when he returned the same. We started texting each other through the dating site, and eventually, we exchanged telephone numbers. Our conversations flowed easily, and we laughed a lot! We made plans to meet up at the Cheesecake Factory five days later. We talked on the phone every day, leading up to our first date. But prior to our first date, Charles asked if we could meet up in person for a quick hello. So, during his lunch break, we met up at the Walmart in my neighborhood. Our meet-up lasted less than 30 minutes. As we departed, I said to myself, "God, did I just meet my future husband!?" Not the most romantic setting, nor how I would have planned it!! Our Cheesecake Factory date was more of the same...easy conversation, we had a lot in common, and we laughed a lot! As we spent more and more time together, we both felt we had found "the one" and the rest is history 🥰
