Question

Who is invited to the welcome party & what is the attire?

Answer

We welcome all wedding guests to The Night Before/Welcome Party on Friday, September 6. Attire is casual. Additional details are provided in the "Schedule" tab.

Question

Where should I stay and how should I get to the venue?

Answer

Given the number of guests traveling from outside the state and the limited number of hotels in proximity to Crane Estate, we’ve based the accommodations and welcome party in Boston’s Seaport. We’ll provide transportation to the venue from the Seaport for those guest who RSVP for transportation. For those who wish to plan their own transportation, the venue is 40-60 minutes north of Boston depending on traffic and we’ve been told that Ubers may be hard to call from the venue, so please plan accordingly so you can enjoy the open bar.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is ample parking right outside the venue if you choose to drive.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 6 p.m. The venue asks that you please arrive at least 30 minutes before in order to take your seats.

What is the wedding's attire? Does Black-tie mean I have to wear black?

Answer

The wedding's attire is black tie optional. We encourage guests to wear a tuxedo/dinner jacket/dark colored suit or a long dress/knee-length cocktail dress/jumpsuit/pantsuit in any color palette.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside on the grass lawn. The reception will be held under a tent and inside the ballroom.

Can I bring my kids or a plus one?

Answer

We’ve done our best to include as many of our family, friends, and loved ones, but ask that only those who received an invitation attend the festivities.
