Question
What's it like to ride a chairlift?
Answer
The chairlift is a mellow and scenic way to get to the top of the mountain. Lift attendants are experienced with mobility issues, and will slow the chair down as slow as needed to get you on and off safely or even load wheelchairs. The seat is cushioned and there is a safety bar that lowers when you get on the chair, and raises when you get off. What about kids?
Answer
Kids are welcome for the entirety of the weekend, from welcome party through farewell breakfast. For the wedding reception (4:30 - 10:00 pm on Saturday), we are offering a Kid's Party for children under 12, with a kid-friendly buffet, games, and fun to ensure the little ones have a great time and parents can relax and enjoy the evening. If you would prefer to have your child attend the dinner and reception, you will be able to select that option in the RSVP.

What is the recommended lodging?
Answer
We strongly recommend the Jackson Gore Inn (20% discount with wedding code), as all activities (ceremony pickup, cocktail hour and reception) are on-site at the Jackson Gore base at Okemo mountain. Everything is walkable from those hotel rooms! In our experience the website and promo code can be a little tricky, and may take a couple tries. If the website link is not returning available rooms for our dates or registering the discount code please call the Global Group Reservation department at 855-945-0553 and make your room reservation over the phone. Have the promo code available to give to them for the discount.

What is the attire?
Answer
The ceremony and reception are both semi-formal/cocktail attire - suits, sport coats, and cocktail dresses are perfect! The ceremony is planned for the summit, so please wear sensible, stable footwear as the ground is not paved. The Welcome Party and Farewell Breakfast are casual events.

If the ceremony is at the summit, how are we getting there?
Answer
The ceremony is planned for the summit, weather-permitting. We will have shuttles depart from the Jackson Gore Inn lobby area to take everyone to the Sunburst Six chairlift for a scenic ride to the summit location. The chairlift is staffed by lift attendants who will support groups getting on and off the lift. The ride is very mellow, and the lift slows down even further for loading and unloading. The lift has a safety bar and foot rest, and each chair can fit six people. All riders must be able to approach the loading area and sit on the chair unassisted and under their own power (no sitting on laps). Is there parking on-site?
Answer
Yes, there is parking on-site. Parking is included in the booking if staying at Jackson Gore Inn - there's a dropoff zone in the front of the lobby as well as underground parking with an elevator directly up to the room floors. There is lot parking available for anyone not staying at the Inn.
