FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sydney Thomas and Dylan Humenay
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The ability to RSVP will be made available with your formal invitation. We ask guests to RSVP no later than December 20, 2026. However, if you will be attending, we highly recommend booking your travel and accommodations well in advance, as prices increase exponentially in the months leading up to busy season.

Question

What is the boat like?

Answer

You can find more information about the boat on the Sunset Watersports website (sunsetwatersportskeywest.com). We will be on the Party Cat!

Question

What time should I arrive at the boat for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

All guests should arrive at the 201 William St. location by 4:30pm. Boarding will begin at 4:45pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Island Semi-Formal. Women should wear summery, floral attire and wedges or nice sandals - think coastal chic! It might be windy and you may get chilly as the sun goes down, so consider bringing a light sweater or jacket. Men should wear dress pants or khakis, a button down shirt, and closed-toed shoes. You're welcome to wear a suit jacket but no need for a tie! We want you to look good and be comfortable!

Question

Is there parking near the boat?

Answer

Parking is extremely limited in Key West. There is some street/metered parking near the boat, but it will be challenging during Key West's busiest time of year. We highly recommend walking or Ubering to the boat. Some hotels that are further away have shuttle services to the Duval St. area.

Question

What will be served for dinner?

Answer

Dinner will be a Caribbean, buffet style menu including blackened mahi, smoked mojo pulled pork, Caribbean jerk chicken, beans and rice, and more! There will be an open liquor, beer, and wine bar.

Question

Where should we stay in Key West?

Answer

There are plenty of cute Airbnbs and bed & breakfasts in the Old Town Key West area. We have stayed at the Inn on Fleming and the Curry Mansion which we loved! There are several gorgeous waterfront hotels, as well. This is a busy/expensive time to visit Key West, so we recommend booking earlier rather than later. As a more affordable option, we have secured a room discount at the Havana Cabana Key West Hotel. This hotel is a 10-15 minute drive to the ceremony and reception on the boat and to Duval St. If you wish to book, please either use the custom booking link below or you can make your reservation by calling 855-235-3911 and identifying yourself as a member of the Thomas Humenay Wedding Room Block. Question

I've never been to Key West. How long should I visit?

Answer

We would recommend 3-5 nights if you've never been to Key West! This will give you ample time to explore the sights, try a few delicious restaurants, and fully immerse yourself in island life (just like Jimmy Buffet).

Question

How should we get to Key West?

Answer

The easiest way to get to Key West is to fly into Key West International Airport. A potentially cheaper option is flying into Miami and driving through the Keys (which is an absolutely gorgeous and fun experience). If you're in South Florida, the Key West Express or driving are other great options.

Question

What are the must-do/must-see things in Key West according to the happy couple?

Answer

- Take a photo at the Southernmost Point in the Continental United States - Eat Key Lime Pie (our favorite is frozen key lime pie on a stick dipped in chocolate) - Take a shot at The Smallest Bar - Enjoy the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square - Try to catch a chicken (or at least admire them)
