During Covid I decided to join Tinder (a dating app) and changed my location to outside of Saginaw. On the first night I had it I was very intimidated and was going to delete the app. I decided to give Colin a swipe right because he seemed to have all the same interests as me. When I swiped right it popped up that he too had swiped right on me. SCORE! He had messaged me on the app and I was very hesitant on responding but decided what the heck, were both interested. We swapped phone numbers and snapchat and kicked it off right away. As we were talking through the night he decided to video call me and we talked for like 8 hours over night about our life and we found very similar things in common. I decided since it was during covid and there was nothing better to do, to meet up with him in Lake Orion and see him in person. As we continued talking through the days and after we met we have pretty much been inseparable. He very quickly became my best friend.

As our friendship grew stronger we decided to take a trip to Traverse City for a weekend away. We planned everything out together and although Covid was causing a lot of restrictions we had the best time together. Before we had left for our trip Colin had asked me to be his girlfriend before we made the venture north. That was one of the best days and has brought us to where we are now. Throughout dating we now have two amazing dogs, Shooter and Gunner, and a nice home to call our own in Grand Blanc which was the halfway point for both of our families.

We went on a couples trip to Nashville, TN because everyone is starting to get married and thinking about expanding their families. After an 8 hour car ride to our place, we settled in to our Airbnb, made dinner and headed downtown to Broadway. Never being to Nashville I was overwhelmed with excitement and happiness surrounded by Colin and my best friends.. we bar hopped and had a few drinks, we ended our night at FGL Bar. Having 4 floors, we navigated through all and ended up on the rooftop. We had more drinks, danced, and shared a ton of laughs and good times. I was starting to get tired and I decided to go hangout on the edge of the outdoor space on the rooftop.. was ready to go home and was just looking out over the edge down at the lights and people moving around the town... While talking with a friend and not paying any attention to what was happening behind, I turned around to find Colin down on a knee.... I instantly covered my face in disbelief and turned back towards my friends, I turned back around quickly and shouted "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
