It all started with an inbox on Facebook, with Thomas asking me if I was single. We began texting back and forth and finally exchanged numbers. We began laughing and talking for hours and found out that we were both from the Mississippi Delta. He was passing through and asked if I would like to meet him for dinner. Oh well, why not go and at least get this free meal. LOL! When we finally met in person, all he did was smile. He said to himself, Oh she is sooo short, he later told me. We sat down, ate, laughed and talked. We talked and laughed all night after dinner. I found out the next day his truck was in the shop and he would have to stay in Southaven another night. After work, we met again in the park and he had a picnic set up for us, I was really blown away. And that was the beginning our relationship. I will always remember April 24th. After that every month on the 24th he would surprise me with an anniversary gift. We went to Houston, Texas for Christmas 2023. He proposed to me on Christmas Eve at his daughter's house. I sat there for a minute and just stared at the ring and finally said yes!! We thank God daily for bringing us together and can't wait until October 5, 2024, to be united as husband and wife. #LiveLaughLoveLatham
