On a brisk night in February of 2017, Tamar met Thomas at a tap room in the heart of Oakland’s Rockridge district for their first date. They shared drinks while catching up on where life had led them since their first meeting years before at a mutual friend’s birthday party. One hour became three and before they knew it, they were a pair of comedy loving, theater going, tandem bike riding, world travelers who love to cook (Thomas) and eat (Tamar) good food. In November of 2019, atop the beautiful mountains of Ukiah, Thomas knelt down and proposed to Tamar on her Thanksgiving-birthday. The offer was met with a resounding “Yeah, of course!”. Little did they know, the end times were right around the corner! What was meant to be an engagement of respectable length, turned into a very long engagement indeed. BUT rain or shine, pandemic or no, Thomas and Tamar are beyond overjoyed to finally get hitched and celebrate with their loved ones. They can’t wait to laugh, feast, dance, and party with you.
