How We Met (Her Story)

EST. 2015

I was walking in the mall with a friend one day when I saw Thomas (little did I know he would become my husband). My friend said hello to him, he was shopping for a Mothers's Day gift and so were we. When he walked away, I asked her, "How do you know him"? "He's cute"! ...He worked for her dad at his restaurant, and when she told him that I was interested he wanted nothing to do with me. My friend came back to me and said he thinks you're too young, and probably too immature. Months later that same friend and I went to a winery with her dads work. I knew he was going to be there! I did not eat all day I was so excited to talk to him. Well he spent the entire afternoon discussing his girlfriend. I gave up. Then a week later I got a text that said, "Who's this?". Confused I was wondering who they were, they had texted me first. After much investigating I found out it was the guy from the mall! He had broken up with his girlfriend and wanted an invite to the halloween party that night. He got his invite. At the party he approached me as I was putting on music. I said I really only listen to Christian music, and they asked me to change the song, can you help me? He then told me he was a Christian too! We talked the entire night. However after that it took him an entire month of convincing me to finally go on a date. We saw The Peanuts, and he brought me my favorite flowers in my favorite colors. I knew he was special then. A few weeks later he told me he loved me on December 10, 2015 and said one day he was going to marry me. I did not believe him... 4 years later we are planning our wedding. I am marrying the man from the mall. - Rebecca

How We Met (His Story)

I met Rebecca at the mall while shopping for a Mother’s Day gift. I can still see her smile when I close my eyes. Little did I know that smile would be the start of something greater. Following this we had a couple of run ins through a mutual friend that were accompanied by chit chat and small talk. Not long after I was given Rebecca’s number by this friend, attached were stern instruction to invite myself to her Halloween party AND wear a silly costume... I wore a cream sweater. We bonded over my selection of music, her selection of drinks and our mutual inability to win a single game of beer pong. After that night we kept in constant contact and after much convincing she reluctantly accepted my offer to take her out on a date. The cream sweater clearly paid off because She’s been my date ever since. - Tom
