Driving, Parking, and Walking. . . Oh My!

Answer

We hope you enjoy the beautiful drive through the Maryland countryside to our wedding destination. Upon arrival you will be directed where to park, followed by a short, easy walk to the ceremony site. For those staying nearby, Uber and Lyft are plentiful and may be the better option for arrival and/or departure. If you drive but decide at the end of the evening to catch a ride home, overnight parking is allowed, and you are able to retrieve your car anytime the following day.

Fabulous Attire Requested

It's our special night, so we are requesting everyone to come dressed extra special! Items such as fancy cocktail dresses, LBD's, full-length gowns, dressy jumpsuits, along with suits, or dark sport coats and slacks are ideal. We are expecting beautiful fall weather, and suggest a light jacket or wrap for the evening as our ceremony will be held outdoors in a whimsical woodland area. Cocktails and dinner will follow in a lovely, restored barn that is open to the elements.

Our wedding celebration will be an adults-only event, as our venue cannot accommodate children under 12. While we understand that this might require some extra planning on your part, we’re excited about the opportunity for everyone to enjoy a kid-free evening together. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope that you’re as excited as we are for a night of fun and festivities!

Calling brave adventurers

Prepare for a fantasy inspired evening that includes an opportunity to create your own Dungeons & Dragons character in addition to joining an adventuring party. All "Adventuring" is optional, but know a prize awaits those that participate and complete their quest. ADVENTURERS PROLOGUE "Our Sweethearts will be saying their "I do's", to everyone's enjoyment, except perhaps a sad few. A powerful Sorcerer, who they once knew, is jealous of their love and can no longer remain true. He is planning on casting a spell to destroy these two, and will undoubtedly succeed unless you pursue."

The wedding venue is approximately one-hour from Washington-Dulles Airport. We are also a short drive to the bright lights of Washington DC, home of the Smithsonian Museums, Lincoln Memorial, and so much more. For accommodations and recommendations, please visit the Travel & Things To Do pages.

We are excited to celebrate together and want to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all, especially our immune-compromised guests. We recommend everyone receive updated vaccinations prior to attending. If come the time of the wedding you are feeling ill, we kindly ask that you refrain from attending to protect everyone's well-being. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated!
