Meghan's POV: In the Fall of 2021, Meghan's younger brother, John, was roommates with Aidan Meyer at Bowles Hall in Berkeley. Aidan's family had recently moved to Carlsbad, so Aidan and John would often come home for school breaks together. John and Aidan were the first match makers by introducing Aidan's older sister, Fran, and Meghan to each other. The two became instant besties. Fran was dating, and is now married to, Dominic. The couple met at Berkeley, and during the holidays would alternate which family they would visit. Fran's family, in Carlsbad, or Dominic's family, in the suburbs of Chicago. While visiting Dominic's family at Thanksgiving 2022, Fran and Dominic had brunch with Tommy. An idea struck the couple to introduce Meghan and Tommy. In January 2023 Meghan and Fran were catching up on a beach walk in Carlsbad, and Fran expressed that there was somebody she would like Meghan to meet, Dominic's friend from high school, Tommy. Tommy's POV: Tommy, Dominic, and Fran were all having brunch together over the week of Thanksgiving in 2022. They encouraged Tommy to follow Meghan on instagram and he was quickly enthralled with the photo of her and her two cats. Tommy quickly followed. They started to message each other later in March and Tommy decided to use his PTO to visit her. When she picked him up at the airport (after his flight was delayed for nearly 3.5 hours) he knew he made the right decision. A year later, he was getting picked up again, but this time to officially move in with her.
