How we Met

July 30, 2013

Our lives began with one another in July 2013. We both did not know what we was looking for at the time and was really not the bar type. The funny part is, we had to resort to POF also known as Plenty of Fish. We talked for hours on the phone for a couple of days then Marie decided to meet Thomas when she came over to his apartment and he cooked dinner. We talked till three in the morning even though Thomas had to be at work a few hours later. The next day we texted all day and talked before bed. We knew it was love at first site! We made it official on the 6th of August. Fast forward to the end of August. We knew each other for about a month now but still did not know each others flaws but we decided to take a chance. Thomas decided to ask Marie to move in with him. We had some bad times but, we also had some really great times. The first year was probably the hardest point in our relationship but that chance we took, really payed off. We have three beautiful and sweet children and been together for five years the day we say I do. We both have had relationship problems in the past and been cheated on but our love for each other is what keeps us going to accomplish every goal we set for our family. Love and dedication conquer everything! That is what makes us stronger then ever!

Proposal

August 27, 2016

For those who know Thomas, he always said that he will never get married. Well look here, he lied lol. My proposal started 3 months before I even proposed. Ring shopping was fun! My uncle almost gave it away several times because I didn't know her size or what she preferred. You don't want the woman to not like the ring that you buy. That is what my uncle kept on expressing to me! My uncle helped me out a lot in finding the best ring for Marie. August 27, 2016, was my big day on trying to pull off the best proposal. I planned the proposal a week after Marie's birthday so she wouldn't ask questions on where we was going. I had a great excuse! I am taking you out for your birthday. First, Texas De Brazil for dinner. I was nervous as hell and could barely eat because I didn't know what I was going to say when it was time for me to get on one knee. After dinner, we had a carriage ride waiting for us out side to give us a tour of the beautiful downtown Fort Worth area. We made a stop at the water gardens and the guide made up an excuse and told us that it will take about 20 minutes before we can keep going. She said if we wanted to, we can take a look at the water gardens for a few minutes. We walked down to the water gardens and there was probably over a thousand people down there. Now, I am nervous! When I saw my parents and my son start walking up, I knew it was my time to get down on one knee and express my love to her. When I pointed out my son and my parents, Marie seen the sign that my son was holding that said, "WILL YOU MARRY MY DADDY." That's all she wrote! Now, were here living the dream :)
