Question
When should I respond by?
Answer
Please RSVP as soon as possible - feel free to text us with your confirmation, but please note that the RSVP on the website will include your food selection and dietary restrictions for our wedding dinner! The latest RSVPs can be submitted is August 1st. We’re so excited to celebrate with our nearest and dearest! Since we’re keeping things cozy with a 60-person guest list, every RSVP helps us plan and celebrate with love (and seating charts). If you know you can’t make it, no worries at all—but letting us know early gives us a chance to invite a few other loved ones who didn’t make the initial cut. Thank you for helping us make this day so special—we truly can’t wait to celebrate with you!

What will the weather be like?
Answer
Beautiful Huntsville is around 2 hours north of Toronto, so expect to be a bit chillier! Over the last few years, end-of-September daytime temperatures have ranged anywhere from 15c to 23c. Nighttime temperatures will drop to below 10, so plan to bring a warm layer. There will be room within the venue to store extra layers until sunset! Our venue has a beautiful outdoor terrace where our dinner will be hosted, but we also have the Great Hall indoors, which will be warm and toasty once the sun sets (it's also where the bar is!). We will also have 30 blankets available for guests that you can use for the night and take home with you!

What time should I arrive?
Answer
Our ceremony will start at 3 pm sharp. We ask guests who are travelling to Huntsville on the day of the wedding to kindly arrive at the venue an hour before the ceremony begins. Come, get settled, visit the lakefront and grounds and grab something to drink!

Is there parking available?
Answer
The Portage Inn has a large private parking lot just beside the main entrance! There are also more parking spaces available 1 minute down the hill by the lakefront - we do not anticipate to run out of parking for any of our guests.

Can I bring my kids?
Answer
Unfortunately, our venue has a maximum capacity of 60 guests. If your children are invited, their names will be listed on your invitation. While we love your little ones, due to limited venue capacity, we’re only able to accommodate children of immediate family and those included in the wedding party. We hope you understand, and we truly appreciate your support in helping us keep our celebration intimate.

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
We are so excited to celebrate with all of you! Please note that all invitations include either a plus one or the name of your spouse/partner (and children) if invited. We kindly ask that no additional guests be brought beyond those listed on your invitation, as we are working within the capacity of our venue.

What time is the celebration ending?
Answer
There is no determined end time for our celebration, but note that due to municipal by-laws in the Huntsville/Muskoka Region, our party will have to be moved indoors by 11 pm. We will be within the Inn's Great Hall after 11 pm - there will be some seating available and a pool table for guests to relax and enjoy, or you can sit by the bar!
