Lakeland's Southgate Plaza was a filming location in The One and Only Ivan and Edward Scissorhands. In 1957 Queen Elizabeth gifted swans to Lakeland. You can find our swans at Lake Morton. You're allowed to feed them but please research first! Lakeland is also home to the most concentrated amount of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture at Florida Southern College along Lake Hollingsworth. Lakeland is also the Detroit Tigers spring training home, and P.S. most notably, Lakeland is home to Publix.
