It all started at “The Gulley” in 3rd grade when we played against each other in a showdown on the soccer field. Bitter from the devastating loss, Liz never spoke to Tom again. But that all changed 20 years later when our paths crossed again on the Juneau Avenue bridge in downtown Milwaukee. After bumping into each other a few more times the summer of 2017, we decided it was time to meet halfway for a real date. With Tom in San Francisco and Liz in Milwaukee, we planned a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. 10 miles later, we weren’t sure if our heads were fuzzy from the altitude or if there was a hint of love forming in the air. Despite dating long distance, the next year and a half led to many adventures that brought us even closer. Weekends in San Francisco and Milwaukee, ski trips to Whistler and Tahoe, fun in the sun in Scottsdale, the bright lights of New York City, the beaches of California, the deserts of Morocco and the trip of a lifetime in Europe. We have now spent the last two years making the City by the Bay our home. We continue lots of mountain and beach hikes with our dog, Reggie, watch Warriors games through Tom’s job (but Go Bucks!), relish weekend getaways to wine country and Lake Tahoe, and always enjoy a good night on the town trying new restaurants and enjoying shows. August 6th was a legendary day when Liz said yes in the most beautiful back drop of the Grand Tetons! It was a perfect next step in our adventurous journey, and we cannot wait to celebrate our love story with the people we love the most.
