Things To Do

Here are some of our favorite things to do in Seattle. Plenty of these can be accessed using public transit. We've also included a few options for those renting a car who want to get out of the city and explore.
Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park

8011 Fauntleroy Way Southwest, Seattle, WA 98136

We'll be having our welcome picnic here, and it's a great park to explore more if you have time! The view button below has a link to a map of the park.

Pike Place Market and Waterfront

Pike Place Market and Waterfront

Seattle, WA

If you've never been to Seattle, Pike Place Market is Seattle's most famous destination. Walk the market full of handmade crafts, art, flowers, produce, and fish. Take the stairs behind the market down to the waterfront for more shops, restaurants, and a walk on the pier.

Seattle Center

Seattle Center

305 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA 98109

Accessible by monorail from the city center, Seattle Center is a hub for the arts. Check out the city from a higher perspective from the Space Needle. Explore one of Seattle's museums like the Museum of Pop Culture or the world renowned Chihuly Glass Museum and Garden. Expand minds at the Seattle Children's Museum or the Pacific Science Center

Farmer's Markets

Farmer's Markets

Seattle has tons of farmer's markets around the city. The biggest market is in Ballard (https://www.sfmamarkets.com/visit-ballard-farmers-market) on Sundays - tons of stalls with ready to eat treats/meals and lots of art vendors. Saturday: Magnolia (10-2), University District (9-2) Sunday: West Seattle (10-2), Capitol Hill (11-3), Ballard (9-2)

Bainbridge Island

Bainbridge Island

Bainbridge Island, WA

Take the ferry from downtown Seattle over to Bainbridge Island - a cute area with tons of shops and restaurants. The main area on the island is walking distance from the ferry terminal, so we'd recommend walking on to the ferry and leaving your car behind.

Deception Pass State Park

Deception Pass State Park

41229 State Route 20, Oak Harbor, WA 98277

If you're looking to get out of the city, Deception Pass is one of our favorite spots (we got engaged here!). The park has varying levels of hikes, walkable beaches with views of the sound, and plenty of wildlife. Stop in the town of Anacortes for lunch after your visit to the park. You'll need a Discover Pass to enter the park. A day pass is $10 and can be purchased online. It's about a 90 minute drive from downtown Seattle. We recommend leaving early to avoid traffic and find easier parking once you get there.

Franklin Falls

Franklin Falls

Denny Creek Trail, North Bend, WA 98045

Looking for a short and easy hike? Just 2 miles round trip to a waterfall. Less than an hour drive from downtown Seattle. $5 vehicle day pass required to park - can be purchased online or at an on-site kiosk.

Green Lake Park

Green Lake Park

7201 East Green Lake Drive North, Seattle, WA 98115

Scenic walk around the lake - it's about a 3 mile loop

Gas Works Park

Gas Works Park

2101 North Northlake Way, Seattle, WA 98103

Park overlooking Lake Union with views of Downtown Seattle

Agua Verde Paddle Club
