If you've never been to Seattle, Pike Place Market is Seattle's most famous destination. Walk the market full of handmade crafts, art, flowers, produce, and fish. Take the stairs behind the market down to the waterfront for more shops, restaurants, and a walk on the pier.
Accessible by monorail from the city center, Seattle Center is a hub for the arts. Check out the city from a higher perspective from the Space Needle. Explore one of Seattle's museums like the Museum of Pop Culture or the world renowned Chihuly Glass Museum and Garden. Expand minds at the Seattle Children's Museum or the Pacific Science Center
Seattle has tons of farmer's markets around the city. The biggest market is in Ballard (https://www.sfmamarkets.com/visit-ballard-farmers-market) on Sundays - tons of stalls with ready to eat treats/meals and lots of art vendors. Saturday: Magnolia (10-2), University District (9-2) Sunday: West Seattle (10-2), Capitol Hill (11-3), Ballard (9-2)
Take the ferry from downtown Seattle over to Bainbridge Island - a cute area with tons of shops and restaurants. The main area on the island is walking distance from the ferry terminal, so we'd recommend walking on to the ferry and leaving your car behind.
If you're looking to get out of the city, Deception Pass is one of our favorite spots (we got engaged here!). The park has varying levels of hikes, walkable beaches with views of the sound, and plenty of wildlife. Stop in the town of Anacortes for lunch after your visit to the park. You'll need a Discover Pass to enter the park. A day pass is $10 and can be purchased online. It's about a 90 minute drive from downtown Seattle. We recommend leaving early to avoid traffic and find easier parking once you get there.
