Mountain Adventure Tips

IMPORTANT: HOW TO ADJUST TO THE HIGH ALTITUDE
1 - Drink More Water (low humidity at high altitudes keeps the air dry, like a desert, so you need twice as much water)
2 - Moderate Your Physical Activity (take it easy the first 24 hours, let your body adjust to the altitude)
3 - Eat Foods High In Potassium (such as bananas, broccoli, avocado, cantaloupe, celery, greens, chocolate, granola, dates, dried fruit, potatoes and tomatoes will help you replenish your electrolytes by balancing your salt intake)
4 - Monitor Your Alcohol Intake (drinks at high altitude pack more of a punch than at sea level, drink more water while drinking to make sure you stay hydrated)
5 - Sun Protection (there is less protection from the sun at higher altitudes)
6 - Dress in Layers (at this altitude the sun is more powerful it may feel warmer than the actual temperature is, at night temperatures drop and sometimes they can drop significantly)
