Garden Chic Elegance - Step into an autumn evening filled with timeless charm, twinkling lights, and the romance of a garden soirée. For our special day: Ladies: We imagine you in flowing, floor-length or mid-calf dresses that embody the elegance of the season. A shawl or wrap is a lovely addition to keep you cozy as the crisp fall air sets in. We kindly ask that you avoid neon or overly bright colors to complement the soft, romantic tones of the evening. Gentlemen: A suit and tie (or bowtie, if you’re feeling festive) will set the tone for a black-tie optional celebration. A pocket square or patterned tie is a great way to add a pop of personality. Footwear Guidance: As we’ll be capturing memories outdoors in grassy areas, we suggest block heels or elegant flats for ladies to ensure comfort and ease. Above all, we hope you'll embrace the joyful spirit of the day, dressing to celebrate love under the autumn sky in something that uniquely represents you!
Mild - In South Carolina, the average weather in October is typically sunny with temperatures ranging from 63°F to 79°F during the day and 46°F to 55°F at night. The state receives 3 to 5 inches of rain during October
Because our wedding will be celebrated within a Catholic Mass, we kindly ask that phones and cameras remain put away during the ceremony. We’ve invited a professional photographer and videographer to capture these sacred moments, and we look forward to sharing them with you afterward.
After October 1st we’ll be in Bluffton preparing for the wedding, so please hold off on sending anything to San Jose. You’re welcome to bring a gift to our Sunday gift opening or wait until we return home to ship it. Most of all, we’re so thankful for your love and presence!
Our celebration will begin promptly at 1:30 pm please plan accordingly. We would prefer you plan to show up 10-15 minutes early to the chapel as it is a small venue and difficult to seat individuals after the start time. The Chapel will be at 100% capacity & seats are first come first serve so keep that in mind!
Our wedding will be celebrated within a full Catholic Mass, which typically lasts about one hour. The Mass includes prayers, readings, music, and the Eucharist. Out of respect for this sacrament, only practicing Catholics are able to receive communion. Everyone else is welcome to participate through prayer and reflection. We feel so grateful to share this sacred time with you and can’t wait to celebrate together afterward!
Welcome Party: Ample parking is available at The Barn at Crystal Lake (entry pass required). Ceremony: Parking will be on grass and gravel at St. Andrew’s Chapel - please arrive a little early to allow time to park and find your seat. Reception: Plenty of parking will be available at Hampton Lake Lakehouse (entry pass required). Sunday Gift Opening: Parking is limited, so we kindly ask guests to carpool when possible. Updates to come soon!
We adore your little ones! Due to limited space in the chapel, there is no designated quiet room or area for children. We kindly ask that any guests who may have difficulty sitting through the ceremony quietly join us afterward for the reception. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Because our wedding is a very personal and intimate celebration, we are unable to offer extra plus-ones. We hope you understand, and we’re so excited to celebrate with you!
Absolutely! We have allergies too please let us know well before our RVSP date and we will do our best to accommodate. As a heads up most dishes at this wedding will already be gluten-free and no shellfish will be served.
