While we knew each other since middle school, things didn't really start to click until senior year of high school in drama club. On the absolute *last* day of our senior year, during our senior trip to Lake George, on a dinner cruise, at sunset, after some strong encouragement from our friends, I (Thomas) decided to ask her (Katie... duh) to be my girlfriend. I (Katie) was so blown away by his (Thomas... again, duh) bravery and handsomeness, that I just couldn't refuse.

Before any official proposals were made, we discussed each doing a proposal to one another. In traditional fashion, Thomas proposed first, and so on Thursday, November 4th, 2021 at Cathedral Ledge in North Conway, New Hampshire, the question was asked. The following day, still in North Conway but this time at Diana's Baths, Katie popped the question. Spoilers - we both said yes.
