"Southwest Virginia, Fall of 2011. Leaves have begun turning towards their autumnal hue, the sounds of Hokie football and underage drinking ring throughout Blacksburg. We see a young Julie and young Thomas introduced to each other in the stinky halls of Vawter, the all guys dorm at Virginia Tech, through a mutual friend (shout out to Andrew Bolis). And so marked the beginning of this wonderful love story. Later that spring, a conversation in Thomas' best friend Phil's room dissuading Julie’s application to UVA acts as the catalyst to this couples journey. Numerous parties at Ethan's (their future brother-in-law), a Dave Matthew’s Band concert, Busch Garden trips, LOTS of singing, dancing, and laughing...their relationship sprang into motion and thus their love began to grow. ...With Thomas and Julie both in a cappella groups (yes they are super cool), their bond strengthened over the college years as they danced and sang the nights away. After 4 years their degrees were earned (somehow) and they were ready for whatever real life was about to throw at them!….or as ready as two 22 year olds could be. ...Post-college life hit in full swing. The long-distance between Huntsville and Richmond proved to be more and more difficult as these two young adults were trying to figure out how to navigate the insanity of the real world. The days were no longer as simple as a couple of homeworks/tests in between figuring out whose house to party at. The difficult circumstances continued to weigh on the relationship until their emotional bridge came crashing down under the pressure. An epic end to a beautifully tragic story…for now. ...The next couple years went on, separate worlds but somehow they always found a way to stay connected. Their spark obviously never faded. Their love for each other never ended. Fate? destiny? Cupid's arrow?! Something kept pulling them back together. Eventually Julie’s NASA escapades moved her to Arlington, where Thomas began to find reoccurring reasons to visit, and thus their story kickstarted right where it left off. Just like old times. Soon after, Julie linked forces with Thomas' sister Ali and good ole Ethan. Eventually Thomas moved up to NOVA and joined the crew, officially establishing “The 323 JBs”!! Which brings their story to today. A tale that truly encapsulates the trials and tribulations of what love is all about. A love that will continue to develop and grow... to infinity and beyond."
