Thomas and Jessica were friends all throughout middle school, from sharing science and math classes to organizing rallies in ASB together. They went to separate high school's where they made some of their best friends and graduated into adulthood on separate paths. Their first year of college, they both went to Citrus College and never ran into each other. Thomas then went on to join the Marine Corps in June 2018 and checked in to his first unit, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, in April 2019. In August 2019, Thomas began working at Home Depot where he reconnected with Jessica. They went on three dates before Thomas asked Jessica to be his girlfriend. Early in the relationship, Thomas knew that Jessica was the one for him. In March of 2020 when the pandemic hit and the world shut down, they remained in each other's COVID bubbles where their relationship grew. After countless dates, Disney trips, and celebrations, they became each other's rocks. Their relationship flourished and their lives intertwined. Their individual family and friends became each other's loved ones. In September 2025, Thomas planned a "birthday trip" for Jessica. With the help of many loved ones, Thomas proposed to Jessica in Oahu, Hawaii on September 12th, 2025. She said yes.
