Lake Placid is a beautiful town featuring local breweries like Big Slide and Lake Placid Pub & Brewery, great restaurants like Smoke Signals, Generations and The Cottage. Lake Placid not only boasts great history and beautiful views, but lots of local shops and nature trails. On your way to Lake Placid, stop to visit High Falls Gorge or drive up Whiteface's Veterans Memorial Highway. Just about an hour drive from Plattsburgh, it is well worth the visit!
