Civil Goat- You've probably had plenty of cups of coffee on patios with friendly local dogs watching their owners down a latte, but when have you ever had to keep a goat from stealing your pastry? Near Commons Ford Ranch and easily the best way to get rural vibes without really leaving the city, Civil Goat is the Green Acres of coffee shops. Blending that coffee shop aesthetic with the rustic vibe of being on a farm, with a full-on goat ( his name is Butters) chilling on the patio. On occasion, he might try to pitch a new app idea to you, but it's usually goat sh*t.

Lala's Little Nugget is a perennially Christmas-themed bar, complete with plastic elves, twinkling lights, and a slew of other holiday decorations. It’s a beautifully odd mainstay in North Austin; a cash-only bar with a legendary jukebox and one of the best Bloody Marys in town.
Austin is the Live Music capital of the world! Check out live music and bars on 6th street.
This one's an Austin original. The Cathedral of Junk is exactly what it sounds like - a cathedral made of junk. That doesn't make it any less impressive, though. Scraps of all conceivable origin have been painstakingly assembled into what is probably the most astounding collection of bric-a-brac ever.
