Maid of Honor
Emily and Hannah met in gym class freshman year of high school running the state-mandated Pacer test. They remained inseparable for the remainder of high school and remain best friends to this day. Emily has never failed to make everyone around her laugh and is the most talented musician Hannah knows. She's currently finishing her undergraduate degree in cello performance at Vanderbilt University and will be attending the University of Indiana for her graduate degree.
Best Man
Joey is Thomas’ older brother, best man, and the smartest person Thomas knows. Growing up, the two could be found competing, as brothers do, at everything (especially video games). They shared many of the same friends as kids, and grew closer in high school as they shared rides to school blasting Daft Punk in an old Jeep Cherokee. After graduating from Georgia Tech, Joey worked and traveled the world, including a stint living and working in Dubai. Thankfully, in 2018, he landed back in Atlanta, where he now lives with his girlfriend, Lauren.
Bridesmaid
As Hannah's younger sister, Audrey was a designated best friend from birth. The two were often seen running around church barefoot, decorating cakes together in the kitchen, or fighting about who got the front seat in the car. After spending their entire childhood together, Audrey decided to venture out to the West Coast and study Psychology at Santa Clara, University, where she currently lives.
Groomsman
Trey and Thomas met in middle school, as members of the notorious neighborhood gang, the Coffee Bluff Crew. After growing closer in high school through neighborhood shenanigans, camping trips and bonfires in the middle of the street, Trey and Thomas became college roommates at Georgia Southern University. Sharing a fondness for good whiskey and anything outdoors, they ended up living together for three years of college. Trey continues to live and work in his hometown of Savannah.
Bridesmaid
Meghan and Hannah's parents were friends long before Meghan and Hannah were even an idea. After spending some quality time together in diapers, the two lived in different states for their entire childhood and adolescence, until they both moved to Chicago after college. They picked their lifelong friendship up instantly and love living close to each other again. They two have enjoyed spending time with each other's friend groups and have stuck together like glue ever since.
Groomsman
Taylor was Thomas’s best friend when they were playing with Hot Wheels cars at age four in Savannah Country Day School’s pre-kindergarten class. Between that time and high school, they fell into different friend groups with different interests. Nearly 20 years after they met and after both had taken roundabout paths through their college years, they ended up back in Savannah and back as close friends once again, refurbishing houses downtown together. Taylor currently lives in Thunderbolt.
Bridesmaid
AJ and Hannah met at Camp Treetops in Adirondack Park, NY when they were 10 and 11 years old. The two shared tents, canoes, and secret boyfriends every summer until high school. When they weren't jumping off of floating docks in the middle of Round Lake, they were singing Bob Dylan hits at the top of their lungs. They continued to visit each other and stay in touch through the years and always pick up right where they left off when they were kids. After graduating NYU with a math degree (what!?) AJ moved out to Los Angeles, CA where they currently work as the Development and Events Coordinator at The Williams Institute.
Groomsman
Rutledge and Thomas met in kindergarten at Savannah Country Day, but never became close until Rutledge realized in middle school that Thomas lived in the next neighborhood over. They grew close through countless inside jokes, boat rides, and – you may be noticing a theme here – neighborhood shenanigans. Later, Thomas would decide to attend Georgia Southern, mostly because Rutledge was already there, and they soon became fraternity brothers. Rutledge lives in Savannah, by the marshes of the Vernon River.
Bridesmaid
Margaret and Hannah became friends at SCAD their freshman year, and despite coming from opposite cultural backgrounds, were able to find common interests in comedy, passion for design, and going out to eat whenever possible. Margaret and Hannah went to go see their favorite comedian, Demetri Martin, perform in Charleston and have taken many trips to Augusta, Georgia together, where Margaret is from. Margaret is currently finishing up her Interior Design degree from SCAD, and is easily the best-dressed friend that Hannah knows. The two are still best friends to this day and support one another through hours of FaceTimes and spontaneous visits.
Groomsman
An indispensable member of the Coffee Bluff Crew, Jeff met Thomas through mutual good friends Will and Brad Boswell. Jeff’s backyard and pool were a favorite neighborhood gathering spot. In high school, Jeff and Thomas became great friends through a shared love of the outdoors, sports, and outside-the-box thinking. Thomas and Jeff are virtual equals on the ping pong table, having played matches that belong on ESPN2 at the very least. Jeff got married in March of this year, and he now lives in Charleston, S.C. with his wife, Ali.
Bridesmaid
Hannah met Courtney during her freshman year at SCAD, but the two didn't become close until her senior year when Courtney and her husband Hampton invited Hannah and Thomas over for a game of Settlers of Catan. Since then, the two became close confidants in one another and love to spend time together whenever they're both in Savannah, where Courtney lives. She currently runs her own business, Courtney Watts Studio, where she sells handmade weavings and other fabric-based creations.
Groomsman
Tucker and Thomas met in middle school at Savannah Country Day and were friends until Tucker, like so many before him, left the school for crosstown rival Benedictine. However, the two became tight thanks to Taylor and mutual friend Henry Drummond. During more than 10 years of friendship, they have bonded through a shared love of house music, craft beer and fantasy football, among other things. In college, some of the most memorable times Thomas had were at Georgia Tech while visiting Tucker. Tucker also got married this year, in April, to his wife, Sarah. They live and work together in Atlanta.
Bridesmaid
Lacey and Hannah met through mutual friends at their church in Chicago and became instant friends. Each week they get together to drink diet coke, vent about work, and cook dinner. As young professional women navigating their way through big jobs in Chicago, Lacey and Hannah have relied on each other to stay positive, focus on prayer, and above all else, support one another. Lacey currently lives in Lakeview Chicago and is an account manager at a recruiting firm.
Groomsman
Matt and Thomas met when Rutledge introduced them in 2013. At the time, Matt was planning to buy the house that he and Rutledge currently live in – another site of fond memories, including a New Year’s Eve that still doesn’t seem real. Since then, they have become closer thanks to camping trips, oyster roasts, and road trips. Matt is one of those rare people who can keep up with Thomas on obscure sports facts.
