State of the art, and world famous farm to table restaurant. Make reservations early, and recommend the cafe---just as good of food but much less expensive!
Really good sushi, very good sake.
Great bike and walking path that takes you from central Berkeley north towards Richmond. If you have a chance to rent a bike, I would recommend.
Excellent market with a lot of different food options including Mexican, Japanese, seafood. Highly recommend the friend and her farmer and get the oysters.
Old school San Francisco. Nothing fancy, but great and huge sandwichs, nice side salads and plenty of cold draft beer.
Best Ramen in the Bay!
A trip to the east bay and Berkeley wouldn't be complete with a jaunt in the university. Recommend entering at Sather Gate on Telegraph and heading downhill towards Center Street and Downtown Berkeley.
Great beer, solid San Francisco Bay Views.
Great hiking. Beautiful, beautiful. Need to rent a car to get there.
Thomas and I went hiking behind Clark Kerr campus on our first date. You don't need a car to access and its right there in Berkeley. Very beautiful and peaceful.
