Great River Road Wine Trail Wineries
The Great River Road Wine Trail is a collection of eleven wineries all located near the Upper Mississippi River in the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. The Great River Road is a pair of designated scenic highways located along both sides of the river.
Villa Bellezza Winery & Vineyards
Stop in for a tasting and have a bite to eat on their gorgeous outdoor patio (La Piazza Bellezza). You can't go wrong with a crisp glass of wine and a flatbread! Try the 2022 Riva (our favorite), and toast to the Bride and Groom!

This restaurant used to be feet away from where sailboat Evelyn was docked in the Lake City marina! It is now located in Winona.
Red Wing
So much to do, where to begin?! Grab a bite on the rooftop restaurant (Scarlet Kitchen & Bar) at the historic St. James Hotel, eat a legendary pastry from Hanisch Bakery, visit the iconic Red Wing shoe store, stop in Fair Trade Books (Ellie's recommendation), visit Levee Park and snap a pic of the Mississippi River, or shop around at some of the local small businesses! Those coming from the Minnesota side - stop by on your way into Alma, and hike up the bluffs if you're feeling up to it! Tom and Ellie have done this en route to Lake City and have some fond memories there. :)
