Any additional venue information???

It's almost time!! With wedding week quickly approaching I wanted to give a few last minute updates about the venue, weather, etc. Venue info: There is buffet style breakfast served each morning from 8-10. There will not be additional food available on site until dinner Friday around 6 and appetizers at 5 on Saturday. If you need lunch or snacks you may want to pack a cooler or plan to visit Elkton, about a 15-20 minute drive. We will be providing beer and wine each afternoon and evening. Cocktails are available for purchase. We will also have a limited amount of bottle water, bubbly water and the venue has some sodas. There will be drinking water available in lodge also. There are mini fridges in each cabin and we will have some communal coolers if you desire to bring anything else. You may also bring outside alcohol to have in your cabin, down by the river or on the rest of the grounds. However, it is NOT ALLOWED in the lodge, deck of lodge, game room or sidewalks surrounding the lodge, OLCC rules! We will be providing some reusable cups for beer/wine and some single use cups, but the lodge has agreed to allow guests to bring their own reusable if desired. I would love to cut down on one time use items as much as possible.

Weather??
Answer
The weather so far is looking favorable, mid 70s with a slight chance of rain. That being said, that could change anytime. In the PNW we are always prepared for rain and dropping temps. It frequently drops to the 50s in the evenings so bring a layer.
Question
What are lodging options for the wedding?
Answer
The Big K venue has shared cabins that will be preassigned to friends and family groups. Yourself and family will be assigned with someone familiar to you. Our goal is for everyone to be able to stay, play and party, safely, the entire weekend. If you do not desire to share a cabin, please notify Thomas or Diane. There is limited lodging nearby, the venue is quite remote, so if you desire to stay off the ranch you may want to seek lodging in Elkton Oregon.
Question
Should we plan to stay prior to or after the events of the weekend? If so, where?
Answer
We are planning a small family gathering Thursday evening, prior to arrival at the venue on Friday. Those invited to this event will need to find lodging in Roseburg Thursday and possibly Wednesday nights, depending on arrival date. We have listed our recommended hotels in town but have not secured a block of rooms at any as many folks have hotel chains they prefer or points they can use. There are many places to explore nearby and throughout Oregon if you choose to extend your stay. Only the lodging at the Big K will be arranged in advance, a handful of hotels and VRBO/Air BNBs are available in Roseburg if you would like to stay more than just Friday and Saturday nights.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
As listed above there will be a few events prior to the ceremony. Invites to each event will be included in your RSVP on the website, as some will be for family and wedding party only. Times of events are still being determined and will be updated accordingly.
