We first met in 2010, in high school chemistry class — which feels kind of perfect, because the chemistry was there from day one. We sat near each other and quickly became classroom buddies. We’d help each other with assignments, whisper side comments during lectures, and tease each other constantly. One of us (you know who) would wave a giant cardboard to mess up the other’s hair — and when no one was looking, doodle smiley faces on their homework. It was playful, light, and innocent — a kind of connection we didn’t fully understand yet, but felt all the same. At the time, that’s all it was. We didn’t hang out much outside of class, but something about that connection stuck with us. After graduation, we reconnected. It started casually — just talking more, catching up — but by April 2012, things began to shift. Feelings got real. A few questions were asked, a few answers held back... but when we finally found our moment, everything fell into place. Since then, we’ve grown closer through the seasons, the years, the challenges and the changes, our love has only gotten stronger. Thirteen years later, we still laugh, tease, and support each other just like we did in chemistry class — only now, we get to do it as partners for life.
