Downtown Newnan
Newnan is a small, Southern town with lots of charm, and even more things to do! Here's some of Carly's recommendations: - Meat n Greet: great burgers and always-friendly service - Redneck Gourmet: a Newnan staple, now with a full-service bar downstairs - The Cellar: upscale Southern comfort food - Leaf and Bean: excellent coffee, be sure to check out their monthly specials - Rock Salt Milk Bar: rotating selection of ice cream, all made in-house - Vinylyte: record store and skate shop with incredible staff - Newnan Book Co: pick out a new book for yourself, or get a last-minute wedding gift for Carly Newnan is also known as the City of Homes, and for good reason! If you don't feel like shopping or eating downtown, we highly recommend touring around the surrounding area to see the beautiful antebellum architecture.
Senoia
Maybe you had no idea that The Walking Dead was filmed thirty minutes away from Carly's house, but Senoia offers so much more beyond tours and merch for everyone's favorite long-running zombie franchise! We especially recommend Nic & Norman's (yes, that Norman), Lisa's Creperie, The Classic Market, and Foxxhollow Antiques.
Ashley Park
If you realize, to your horror, that you forgot to pack an essential, this is the place to go. Ashley Park has a great mix of department stores, boutiques, and even a locally-owned game shop!
Line Creek Nature Area
Located right on the border of Coweta and Fayette County, Line Creek is a beautiful nature preserve that offers family-friendly hiking, or somewhere to just sit and get some fresh air.
